The XRC Bumpers have high degree approach angles and raised corners to maximize ground clearance. Manufactured from 3/16 cold rolled steel and then robotically welded to the exact specifications. Solid mount D-rings that are welded on the inside and outside. Welds are ground down and smoothed out, then a two stage textured matte black powder coat is applied for the ultimate look. Rear Bumper features a 2 receiver hitch and two D-ring mounts. Tire carrier features pressed tapered 2″ diameter bearings, reinforced double sided gussets, 1-1/4″ grade 5 mounting stud, adjustable tire mount to fit a 31-40″ tire. Speed latch with removable lanyard. 2 receiver hitch bolts to factory OE mounting points. Each bumper is developed to be a complete bolt on and requires no modifications to the vehicle.

This is great… until you get it and find out that all the parts you need in order to make this thing actually work come separately.

This is the fault of the manufacturer, not the distributor. The bumper and tire carrier are designed to be sold together, and the important parts for the tire carrier actually ship with the bumper. So, if you’re like me and you bought a Jeep with this bumper already installed, you’re out of luck unless you get this AND the hardware (sold separately).

    Do better, Smittybilt.

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A I don't think it will work. Some of the parts required to make the tire carrier work are shipping in the box for the bumper. That's primarily the piece that the tire actually mounts to so without that piece you have no way to put the tire on the carrier.
