On Glass Micro Screen FM Hide-away, omni-directional antenna with a 54 inch cable. Metra new 44-UA45 is an Hide-away, omni-directional antenna designed for AM/FM radio reception in vehicles. It's built to provide improved signal strength, especially in areas where reception might be weak. The built-in amplifier boosts the incoming AM/FM radio signal, which helps in areas with weak broadcast signals, reducing static and improving clarity. The unique foil pattern increases performance and make the antenna totally Omni directional with the signal unaffected by the direction the vehicle is traveling in a relationship to the radio station. this advance technology was delivered from early low power satellites requiring high gain antenna design. this antenna is designed to mount inside a non metallic surface. This eliminates the need to drill and holes and make the antenna safe from external damage and the auto/boat/motorcycle safe from and water from mounting holes. This antenna can be installed on virtually and boat/Auto/Motorcycle or specialty vehicle. It can be mounted either vertical or horizontal on fiberglass or non metallic panel. This provides for good performance without the antenna being seen or susceptible to adverse climate and salt conditions. The AM/FM performance is close or equal to a conventional 31" external antenna (depending on location of antenna).
