bought this as a gift for my dads new 2016 tacoma and it looks great install was easy and didnt take long its worth mentioning that this bull bar doesnt come with the top mount brackets like some others do but after you torke it down its ok havent hit any deer yet so i dunno about the protection part of it

Delivery was quick and product is well packaged. Looks good on the truck and is well made. Had to take away a few stars because the predrilled holes on the passenger side mounting bracket didn't match up. I had to spend about an hour filing down the hole to make it marry up to the bolts on the frame. Drivers side mounting bracket was fine, and other than the filing the installation was easy.

This is the second Smittybilt Grille I have purchased - I replaced the last one after a truck let a fire extinguisher fall off on the interstate - i was traveling at about 70mph when the fire extinguisher hit the grille - the grille bent in half almost from the impact HOWEVER it definitely saved my pick-up from serious (if not terminal) damage. Worth every penny.

Installed this on my 2014 Tacoma, looks great on the Truck and was an easy install. It will take 2 to install it though. Someone will need to hold it in place while the other gets the bolts started. Took about 45 min start to finish. Instructions were easy to follow and well written. Looks great on the truck and i feel better parking in lost now that folks will think twice before facing into my truck. One thing to consider if you live in a state that requires a front plate. I chose not to go with the the lic plate adapter. I just use the holes for the front plate on the bottom of the plate rather that the top.
